SEVEN SPRINGS FIRE DEPARTMENT

Seven Springs has replaced a 20 year old Hackney rescue with a new NFPA 1901 compliant Hackney nine-compartment model DF0973 combination rescue and service truck. The 17.5-ft long body is mounted on an International 4400, two-door cab/chassis with 310 hp. An extended front bumper provides a 10,000 lb. winch receiver and air horns. A 6-bank Will-Burt light tower is mounted between the cab and body keeping the overhead height to a minimum. A ladder tunnel is located in the upper rear compartment for a 14-ft roof and 24-ft two-section ladder and six pike poles. A 70” high x 36” deep tool board and slide-out SCBA rack that accommodates eight complete SCBA’s provides quick and easy access to equipment. A full body length awning on the curbside facilitates a rehab and command area. A 25,000 watt PTO generator provides power to the light tower, two cord reels, two tripod flood lights, two upper side body flood lights, multiple compartment power outlets and hydraulic tool power unit.
A two-bottle SpaceSaver SCBA fill enclosure with four-bank fill panel was installed. A utility air hose reel with 150-ft of hose provides air source for air tools from the cascade system. The truck is 100% multiplexed and features all-LED emergency lights, compartment strip lights, LED traffic director bar, tail lights and clearance lights. 12VDC scene lights on the left and right side and rear body provides instant scene lighting. Other features include: rear mounted 10,000 lb. winch receiver and trailer hitch; transverse backboard compartment; cribbing storage compartment; two hydraulic hose reels; Whelen siren with two speakers and an assortment of shelves and trays.
