The town of Lanesville, just west of Louisville, has added a Hackney all-purpose emergency support vehicle to their fleet. The apparatus serves primarily as a rescue, but all incorporates other support roles to the fire department. Due to the climate and rural terrain, Lanesville selected an International 7400 cab/chassis with 330‐hp engine and four‐wheel drive.
The 16.5 ft body features 9‐compartments, plus two storage compartments on the roof. Hackney roll‐up doors, a feature that Lanesville recognized for its benefit of low maintenance and increased storage.
