Claremore, located along I-44 just northeast of Tulsa, purchased a Hackney DFC1173R heavy rescue mounted on a Spartan Gladiator 6-man MFD chassis.
The 19-ft, 11-compartment was custom designed to accommodate all the departments specific rescue and support equipment in an easy to access layout. Everything on the apparatus has a dedicated place for rapid retrieval. Two coffin compartments are located on the roof, plus recessed mounting of the NightScan light tower. A 14-ft and two-section 24-ft ladder is stored on the roof. Heavy-duty rollers are provided for loading and unloading of the ladders.
10,000# receivers are provided on the left and right sides of the body and under the rear bumper with 12VDC receptacles for powering a 9,000# Warn winch.
All marker, tail, traffic director light bar, compartment and warning lights on the apparatus are LED. A 35,000 watt PTO generator provides power for hydraulic power unit, light tower, (2) tri-pod flood lights, (4) upper side body flood lights, front cab brow flood light and (2) cord reels. A utility air hose reel provides remote air source for air bag inflation.
Located on the back wall of the cab is an EMS cabinet with roll-up door.
