Rescue Vehicles. At
Hackney, it's no sideline, it's what we do. When you're focused,
being the leader comes easy. Whether you need a rescue for extrication,
breathing air, flood lighting, incident command or a combination
thereof, call us. You'll be amazed at how much emergency vehicle
your money can buy.
Numerous technologies originate from Hackney and remain to set
the standards in the industry. Hackney manufactures in excess
of 25,000 roll-up doors each year and was the originator of roll-up
technology for truck bodies in the United States. The Hackney
unique "H-Drop" frame is 2.8 times stronger than factory specifications.
Hackney has specialized in this type of frame modification for
over 40 years (see Hackney's Advantages for engineering data and
stress analysis).
Hackney changed the way the fire service thinks about fire rescue
and haz-mat related vehicles, and we're now the leading producer
of these types of apparatus. When you reach the top, imitators
set their sights on you. While this makes the marketplace more
challenging, it also makes it more fun, forcing us to become more
creative, innovative and aggressive. The Hackney team is up to
the challenge and we are anxious to talk with you about your challenges.
Hackney has been a company of Specialized
Vehicles Corporation (SVC) since the beginning of this millennium.
SVC is a market leader in transportation related bodies ranging
from Hackney's emergency vehicle products to Kidron refrigerated
bodies and trailers. In 2005 SVC became VT-Specialized Vehicles
Corporation, a part of Vision Technologies Systems, which is a
world-wide company specializing in marine, aerospace, electronics,
communications and land systems (www.VT-Systems.com). In October of 2010, VT SVC became VT Hackney. This new
strength will provide unlimited resources for continued innovation
and growth into the 21st century.
