Heavy Duty Rescue

Heavy Duty Rescue is defined as a body mounted on a chassis with a GVWR of 35,000 lbs or more typically mounted on a custom cab and chassis.

Auto Deploy Staircase (ADS) is an exclusive safety feature available on 19.5 ft or longer bodies. Roof features 21" deep storage compartments and space for a recessed light tower.

No other rescue body offers more cubic feet of storage space per wheelbase inch than Hackney. Visit our features section for details on many exclusive features and options. Low ground-to-floor height makes equipment retrieval easier and safer. Integral door tracks maximize useable storage space with equal side wall and pass-thru dimensions.

No other emergency vehicle body provides as much storage capacity as a Hackney. 40” compartment depths, recessed Unistrut, integral recessed door tracks, and recessed LED lighting all provide unencumbered storage and easy equipment access.

All medium and heavy rescue and trailer models are available with fold-down step platforms that provide safe access to all upper reaches of the compartments. The steps are pneumatically operated and consume zero compartment space.

PTO generators are mounted inside the left front compartment to protect that expensive investment from corrosive road spray. All controls and meters are on the face of the enclosure for easy viewing.
